Jack the Ripper Tour – We’re Open!

DATED: 19.04.21

We are thrilled to announce that, as of Monday 12th April, the Jack the Ripper Tour is open for business.

Covid-19 may have temporarily halted our tours and left the streets of Whitechapel deserted, but we’re back with a vengeance and are looking forward to once again breathing life into the streets of East London haunted by Jack and his victims.

How We’re Covid-Secure

As the country begins to open up, we’re acutely aware that the threat of Covid-19 hasn’t yet been eradicated, and that is why we’re employing a number of Covid-secure measures to keep you safe on our tour.

Our tour takes place outdoors where the risk of infection is drastically reduced, but we do require that all visitors wear a face mask for the duration of the tour and maintain a safe distance from each other – especially when the tour enters narrower streets and areas.

The rule of six still applies outdoors and as such, our tours will be taken in groups of up to six. This is to keep both you and those around you safe.

Please note: whilst every precaution is being taken to keep you safe from Covid, we cannot guarantee you won’t have nightmares after you finish a gruesome tour with one of our expert Ripperologists!

Tour Itinerary

All parts of the Jack the Ripper Tour take place outdoors, therefore we have not needed to modify the itinerary in order to be Covid-secure.

Our highly skilled and knowledgeable Ripperologist tour guides will begin the tour – as always – at Aldgate East Station and progress through the East End of London.

Stops will include the sites of the five murders; Osborne Street, Gunthorpe Street, Hanbury Street, Mitre Square and Dorset Street. The tour will also take you to iconic locations connected to the case, including the Ten Bells pub, Wilkes Street and Goulston Street.

This means you’ll be able to get the full Ripper experience and safely immerse yourself into the world of the most notorious killer regardless of the pandemic and the restrictions it brings.

Virtual Tour

We recognise that some people might not yet feel comfortable taking a physical Jack the Ripper tour, and that’s why we’re still offering our virtual tour. We want everyone to be able to access our tour and learn about the most notorious anonymous serial killer in the world; whether that’s in person or online.

How to Book

If you and your household would like to come on the physical Jack the Ripper tour, you can book online through our website. We are open seven days a week. Our tours start at 2:30pm and 7:30pm, lasting for approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. Children’s tickets (10-16 years old) are £9.00 and adult tickets (17+ years) are £15.00.

If you have further questions about the tour or how we’re taking steps to be Covid-secure, please contact us and we’ll be more than happy to help.
