Where to Meet (Jack the Ripper, Aldgate)

Our Jack the Ripper tour group meets outside of Exit 3 of Aldgate East Underground station, which is signposted as ‘Whitechapel Art Gallery’. This is where your guide will be waiting to meet you and begin the thrilling story of Jack the Ripper.

Please aim to arrive at our meeting point by 7.20 pm, giving you around ten minutes to get settled before our tour departs sharply at 7.30 pm.

Recognising Your Guide

Our Jack the Ripper tour guides are easy to spot! Just look out for someone carrying a large book that’s embroidered with our Jack the Ripper logo and head to them. Your tour guide will certainly be very hard to miss!

If, however, you do have difficulty locating them for any reason, then you can call or text us on 078 0306 7544, and we’ll help you to find and join your group as quickly as possible to avoid missing out and join in the fun of discussing your theories with others.

Directions to Jack the Ripper Tour, Aldgate East

If you’re travelling via the underground, you need to stop at Aldgate East Station and follow the signs for Whitechapel Gallery inside the station. This will lead you to Exit 3, where you will then turn right onto the high street and meet your group outside the gallery.

If arriving by other means, please make sure you’re making your way to Aldgate East station and not Aldgate Station, because they are not the same!

What to Do if You’re Running Late

We understand that things don’t always go to plan. If you’re facing a delay, then don’t panic. Please follow the steps below to ensure you can join the group in time at the next stop.

The first stop after the meeting point will be at Gunthorpe Street, which is just past the White Hart Pub, at a small, cobbled street between the pub and Albers shop. The group will be here until 7.45 pm.

The next stop after Gunthorpe will be at Thrawl Street, at the junction of Brick Lane and outside the Shaad Indian Restaurant. To get to this stop, you’ll need to carry on from Gunthorpe Street and turn right onto Wentworth Street, walk to the end of the road and then turn left onto Brick Lane. The group on this tour will be at this location until around 8 pm.

Our tour guide can be reached on 078 0306 7544. You’re welcome to call or text us if you’re experiencing problems getting to us. Our phone line is open until 8 pm.

If you find yourself missing any of the above spots and arrive after 8 pm and can’t locate the group, then you may have missed the tour. Do not worry, though, as your tickets are valid for up to six months, so you’re welcome to contact us and reschedule your tour for another date and time.
